Product overview: Fluke 787 ProcessMeter Digital Multimeter

Fluke 787 ProcessMeter doubles your capabilities but not your cost

The Fluke 787 ProcessMeter combines a DMM and a Loop Calibrator in one rugged, handheld tool, for about what you would expect to pay for a loop calibrator alone. It's a maintenance and calibration tool that will be at home in every instrumentation technician's tool box. Based on the trusted Fluke 87 DMM, the 787 adds the ability to measure, source, and simulate dc loop current with 1 microamp resolution and 0.05% accuracy. It puts a complete solution for troubleshooting and calibrating current loop applications in the palm of your hand so you can get more information, faster and easier.

So if you're tired of having to track down a calibrator, lugging around two tools, and switching back and forth, get the convenient solution for doubling your power. The 787 ProcessMeter from Fluke.

Other useful features:

  • Provides Min/Max/Average/Hold/Relative modes, and diode test and continuity beeper
  • Displays simultaneous mA and % of scale readout
  • Provides 20 mA DC current source/loop calibrator/simulator
  • Manual step (100%, 25%, Coarse, Fine) plus auto step and auto ramp
  • Externally accessible battery for easy battery changes
  • 1000 V overload protection on V, ohms, frequency
  • 150 V overload protection on mA, backed up by 440 mA 1000V fuse

Want a built in 24-Volt loop supply and 250 Ω HART resistor? Consider the Fluke 789.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent equipment I have used one of these meters every day as an instrument and electrical technician w/Rolls Royce commercial marine. I measure milliamp signals out of devices as well as voltages up to 480 volts AC. I also measure in DC voltage as well. the Fluke line anything with Fluke on it is the best! Thank you, Bryan McManus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save Steps / Tough Meter I’ve had this meter several years now with no issues at all. I carry this meter daily throughout our plant. I have accidently dropped it several times while working in tight spots and still on issues, the shock resistance case in great. The main feature I like is the 0-24mA output. I can stoke valves when needed without going to get a stand along loop calibrator. This saves me hundreds of steps a day, much needed now that I’m getting older. It’s just a great meter all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for trouble shooting 4-20 ma cicuits!! I bought this meter because I was constantly trouble shooting 4-20 ma signals by "guess and check" with new parts. That was terrible inefficient. Since I have had this meter there is no more guessing on what is wrong. Our clients is very please with the improved efficiency/cost savings as am I. I find that this meter seems complicated to some but, if you under stand 4-20ma circuits you shouldn't have a problem learing the meter. Very happy with my Fluke 787. Very happy with all 8 of my fluke meters to be honest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessity for Electrical Testing & Troubleshooting I work in the oil industry and having a Fluke 787 on hand is a must for our day to day activities at the manufacturing facility. The ability to source and simulate signals is fantastic. It's easy to use and user friendly as far as when you forget to switch the leads, etc., which happens to even the best of us. Don't leave home without it!
