Product overview: Fluke 1555 FC 10 kV Insulation Tester Kit

Evaluate the trends, eliminate the doubt

The Fluke 1555 insulation resistance tester kit offers digital insulation testing up to 10 kV in an industrial strength case, with all the heavy duty leads and clips you need. Plus, the Fluke Connect wireless app performs tests and collects data while you stay a safe distance away.

Remote operation lets you spend as little time as possible in potentially hazardous zones. Real-time trending shows a live graph on your phone, rather than a hard-to-read set of changing values. And you can create reports quickly, using pre-designed templates that you can customize with company logos.

Specifications: Fluke 1555 FC 10 kV Insulation Tester Kit

Electrical Specifications
The tester's accuracy is specified for one year after calibration at operating temperatures of 0°C to 35°C. For operating temperatures outside the range (-20°C to 0°C and 35°C to 50°C), add ±.25% per °C, except on the 20% bands add ±1% per °C.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A general disappointment I have always been a huge Fluke supporter, however this product is an embarrassment to fluke. Yes the tester does effectively preform insulation tests, however... -It does not have a backlit display, which makes it very difficult to use in dark switchgear. - The leads are unnecessarily short which can cause you to awkwardly hold the unit to allow the leads to reach ( you can buy longer leads - 25 ft which also seem unnecessarily long) - The Fluke Connect ability isn't built in to the unit rather a bulky dongle that sits on the side waiting to get sheared off as its moved around. - The Fluke Connect software does not properly export graphs either on the mobile platform, web platform or desktop apps. - The unit isn't as user friendly as most competitors units, takes a few mins to figure out how to program certain tests while struggling to read the non back-lit display. -The unit did not come with a hard plastic case as shown on the website, rather a semi hard-shell zippered carrying case. - Fluke Connect Desktop does not appear to be designed for the insulation tester rather thermal cameras and is not user friendly at all to generate simple reports. -You are not able to export raw data from the tester, to get any data in usable form you must export in CSV format from Fluke Connect. Even then it will only give you the final test results not the data that is used for the graphing function. Overall, I would recommend looking at other competitors for a different insulation tester. They all sit around the same price point but have half of the headaches. I am very surprised that Fluke released such a sub-par product.
