The combination infrared camera and SF6 gas leak detector helps locate leaks to reduce utility equipment damage

Identifying leaks of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), which is used as an electrical insulator in extremely high-voltage utilities applications, previously required expensive test equipment or has been a challenging process. Locating leaks of this greenhouse gas have required the purchase or rental of an expensive gas detector, hiring an outside consultant, or powering down vital equipment to use a sniffer or soap solution.
