Finalist in Plant Engineering’s 2017 Product of the Year Awards

New power monitor streams continuous measurements to troubleshoot even difficult intermittent problems

EVERETT, Wash., Nov. 14, 2017 – The Fluke® 3540 FC Three-Phase Power Monitor has been named a finalist in the Maintenance Tools and Equipment category of the Plant Engineering 2017 Product of the Year Awards. The awards honor new products that help professionals do their jobs smarter, safer, more efficiently, and more productively as chosen by the magazine’s subscribers.

Print and online subscribers to Plant Engineering may vote on the 2017 Product of the Year Awards through January 5, 2018.

This is the first honor for the Fluke 3540 FC Three-Phase Power Monitor and the 29th for the underlying Fluke Connect® system, the company’s full-feature reliability platform that permits Fluke tool users to receive, store, analyze, and report electronic measurement data from more than 40 Fluke Connect wireless test tools.

Continuous, streaming three-phase power measurements

The compact Fluke 3540 FC monitors three-phase systems and streams data to the Fluke Connect Cloud. The measurement data is available on any connected device using Fluke Connect mobile app or Fluke Connect Condition Monitoring software.

The Fluke 3540 FC measures:

  • Current (A)
  • Voltage (V)
  • Frequency (Hz)
  • Power (W)
  • Apparent power (VA)
  • Non-active power (var)
  • Power factor (PF)
  • Total harmonic distortion voltage (%)
  • Total harmonic distortion current (%)

Graphs are available to show the trends and fluctuations of the measurements during the monitoring period. Alarm settings notify users immediately when measurement values are outside specified thresholds.

The Fluke 3540 FC also includes a mode to log measurements when no connection to the Fluke Connect Cloud is available. Data can then be transferred using the Fluke Connect mobile app.
