Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant way to present Energy Usage We were looking for a method to measure the energy usage of our ultra-cold freezers to be able to compare different settings and brands. We were using a meter that could only be used for a 15 amp appliance, which worked for some of the freezers but when it came to two pole freezers there was no way to use it. Enter the 1730! Now we have a way to not only measure the multi-pole loads but also a way to measure three single pole loads simultaneously thanks to the three phase input of the 1730. Plus, with the included software, I can present the results in an easy to read report that I can send to the end user.

Also, we did a study to see how clean our incoming power was. It works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My main workhorse for logging power This logger is my main device for logging power in commercial HVAC systems. It logs true RMS power, voltage, amperage, Hz, power factor, etc. It is very easy to set up and even shows wiring diagrams as a reminder depending on the system you are logging (i.e. delta, wye, etc.). It will do single phase to three phase. It also has a very easy to use setup that will digitally fix orientation if an error is made during placement (such as CT's in the wrong direction). It features an easy to use USB download and the software to analyze is easy to use. You can also export the data into a delimited text file that can be imported into Excel.
