Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average I am a service tech and use these test leads almost daily. I am on my 5th set of test leads. I love the length. The 1st set of test leads that came with the meter lasted about 3 years and still looked good (no cuts, no kinks). Sets 2 & 3 lasted 3-6 months and looked almost new before going 'open'. Set #4 lasted 6-12 months and looked almost new. My current set has lasted 1 year so far and still look good. I am a professional and take care of all my tools. Again, I love the length but just wish the test leads were more durable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from lead broke inside strain relief seems like a familiar issue, you think they would have a better cable by now

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and don’t last Seemed like a high quality item initially. They were well cared for- neatly wrapped and secured with a fluke lead wrap and stored in a veto meter bag. Out of nowhere one of the leads devoleped an open rendering it useless. Luckily I had a spare set of radio shack leads on the van and they have long outlasted the flukes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected from Fluke Working in mechant marine industry for more than a decade and got those leads as part of the 87VE2 kit about 2 years ago. Unfortunately the black lead "broke" internally on the banana plug. I was lucky that I didn't work that time on the 440vac power circuit. Now I am looking for a reliable alternative.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wire breaks internally at straight end - 3 sets I work in an industrial environment and have gone through several pairs of these test leads in a year. Initially, I thought that it was due to wrapping the leads around the multimeter. So with the next set I used, I made sure to hang the leads after use so that there was no bending going on; again, no luck. The same thing happened with the third set despite my best efforts to prevent wire breakage internally. The test leads always break in the same place: right next to the "straight" connection, just after the strain relief. The internal breaking of the wire leads to erratic results and potentially a safety issue. The standard test leads that come with a Fluke 114 or 175 multimeter last much longer than this style of test leads. They warrant these things for a year, but either way, they never come close to lasting that long. These leads only get used two to three times a week on average.
