Important Voluntary Recall Information Regarding Fluke 902 FC

Dear Fluke Customer,

Fluke Corporation has identified a safety issue affecting certain Fluke 902 FC Clamp Meter products. As a precautionary measure, Fluke has decided to voluntarily recall all of the affected products and provide affected customers with replacement products of the same model Fluke 902 FC.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you, and hope you'll understand that customer safety is our utmost priority.

The following Fluke 902 FC are being voluntarily recalled (“Recalled Fluke 902 FC”):

Please see the Appendix to this letter for instructions on how to locate the serial number of a Fluke 902 FC.

Please note that any Fluke 902 FC with a serial number not matching those specified in the above table above is NOT impacted by this recall.

1. Description of safety issue

It has been determined that certain Recalled Fluke 902 FC may suffer from a manufacturing error such that a safety protection component may be rendered inoperable, which may lead to a risk of arc explosion, burns or electric shock.

For such a risk to occur, the user must apply a hazardous voltage to the terminals of an affected product while the rotary switch is not in the Volt position, which is a misuse of the product. In such a use case, the manufacturing error may mean that there is severely limited or even no protection against arc explosion, burns, or electric shock.

Fluke is therefore proceeding with a recall of all affected products as identified above (i.e. Recalled Fluke 902 FC).

1. Product replacement:

Please IMMEDIATELY STOP using any Recalled Fluke 902 FC in your possession.  

Please then return your Recalled Fluke 902 FC to Fluke, at no cost, as soon as possible for replacement with a new Fluke 902 FC of the same model number.

Upon return of your Recalled Fluke 902 FC in accordance with the instructions below, you will be sent the new product. Note: If you have bought the Recalled Fluke 902FC as part of the HVAC kit then only the Recalled Fluke 902FC will be replaced.

1. What you need to do now

On this page, fill out the recall form completely, including 

1. Your name and shipping address
2. The quantity of Recalled Fluke 902FC you own.  

Fluke will then send you a pre-addressed, pre-paid shipping label for the return of each of your Recalled Fluke 902 FC within 48 hours, which you can use to return any Recalled Fluke 902 FC to Fluke.

Upon receiving your Recalled Fluke 902 FC(s), Fluke will send you the replacement product.  The replacement product will be shipped from Fluke as soon as possible after receipt of your Recalled Fluke 902 FC.
