EVERETT, Wash., March 3, 2016 – The Fluke® TiX560 Infrared Camera has taken the top prize in the Hardware – Test, Measurement, Calibration category of the Control Engineering 2016 Engineers’ Choice Awards.
The Control Engineering Engineer’s Choice Awards highlight some of the best new control, instrumentation, and automation products as chosen by its subscribers. Survey respondents select products based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact.
The TiX560 Infrared Camera features a rotating lens and the industry’s largest 5.7 inch touchscreen, which allow thermographers to easily navigate over, under, and around objects to preview and capture images with ease. The cameras are ideal for predictive maintenance, R&D, oil and gas, and utility applications where flexibility and higher resolution are essential.
The TiX560 includes MultiSharp™ Focus, a new technology that rapidly takes multiple images and combines them to produce one in-focus image. The advanced focusing system enables users to capture an automated, focused image of multiple targets at once, delivering the image clarity needed by professional thermographers and maintenance managers to produce top-quality results and avoid costly rework. MultiSharp Focus is available as a free upgrade to existing TiX560 Infrared Cameras when owners update the camera’s firmware.
The infrared camera also has a SuperResolution mode that offers 4x the camera’s normal pixel data, enabling you to see even more detail for greater analysis capability and better reporting. To ensure consistently in-focus images, the camera features LaserSharp® Auto Focus, which uses a built-in laser distance meter to pinpoint the target, accurately calculate and display the distance, and immediately adjust the focus. Optional 2x and 4x telephoto, wide-angle, and 25 micron macro lenses for this camera add versatility to meet a wide variety of applications.
