Product overview: Fluke Ti400 Infrared Camera

Fluke Ti400 Infrared Camera delivers high-end features that maintenance professionals need

The Fluke Ti400 is a high performance, 320 x 240 thermal imaging camera that has the resolution, wireless connectivity and temperature range that maintenance professionals need. And its future-ready in the bargain. You can test and measure with wireless speed and ease, and connect with other wireless devices.

Auto Focus Redefined

The Ti400 delivers in-focus images like never before with the touch of a button. LaserSharp® Auto Focus, exclusive to Fluke, uses a built-in laser distance meter that calculates and displays the distance to your designated target with pinpoint accuracy. This helps ensure that you get the correct image and temperature measurements of the exact target you're inspecting up to 1200°C (2192°F). Other auto focus systems may focus on the surrounding landscape or closer targets and compromise your ability to get accurate temperature measurements.

Compatible with the largest suite of connected test tools in the world

Fluke Connect® is a wireless test and measurement system that lets you stay in contact with your team without leaving the field. Share images with multiple users in remote sites with Fluke Connect ShareLive® video call. Communicate critical data and get answers and additional work approvals instantly without leaving the inspection site. It will save you time and increase productivity.

Built for versatility

The Ti400 is compatible with optional field installable telephoto and wide angle lenses for added versatility. And IR-PhotoNotes™ and voice annotation eliminate the need to carry pen and paper. Plus, Fluke SmartView® software is included at no additional charge.

For applications that require 640x480 resolution, check out the Ti480.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not hold to specs, no scientific SW Purchasing Ti400 for my research lab was an utter disappointment. The specs claim it takes radiometric video. It doesn't! The camera will record a video and interrupt it at random times for calibration, cloning frames when it does that. This results in 1 s intervals of fake data, every 20-30 s in the recording. There is no way to suppress this calibration. The fake cloned frames are not marked. When it does not clone frames, it records at 9 fps (while the camera specs state 60 fps). Fluke support eventually tried to upsell us for an $40,000 TiX640 model, five times the price of Ti400, that reportedly does allow to suppress calibration. Suuuuure. The PC software alailable for Fluke thermal imagers is very low quality, unsuitable for scientific and professional image processing use. I thought it was written by an intern who had no clue of image processing and user interface. It is also buggy, crashes often. Technical support was initially bad, did not know what we asked about until a few exchanges back and forth. We ended up returning Ti400, then went to Fluke's main competitor and purchased an imager similar to Ti400, for a price similar to that of Ti400, that did everything we needed and came with excellent scientific software that allowed us full control. I can imagine Fluke's imagers are good for many industrial users (plant inspectors and such, point - shot - file a report), but for research applications and scientific measurements they are no-go. It was a waste of time for my research lab.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for troobleshooting We purchased our first imager about 2 years ago the Ti32. This year our company purchased another one the Ti400 for one of our other facility. All the basic features are still the same and still very easy to use this new model has other nice features like wireless, and Auto focus. But I found that for the basic trouble shooting and preventative maintenance we do in the Plant the Ti32 is more than enough. Still a great camera and I definitely would recommend this product for all industries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with performance We purchased this high end camera for use in our maintenance department. It comes with a lot of software that is great to have but is more than we needed. We have infrared electrical inspections in our plant and frequently tag along the inspectors and copy their readings with our camera. A great way to learn. We use it often for checking steam water trap operation, and electrical cabinet inspections. We have taken baseline readings of many of our large motors, air compressors, boilers, water tank receiver levels, and even starch silo levels. Actually a lot of fun to play with. I store the images in bitmap format to save room on the sd card. also, this allows the images to be read by anyone without having the fluke software on their computer. Very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy To Use I use this camera daily as a QC tool to map heat loss through freezers on a production line. The camera is simple to use and provides accurate, fast data on the thermal mapping. Even on the white reflective surface I am mapping, the auto-focus works great. It has saved me thousands of dollars by preventing destructive testing. I also love the fact you can upload the images wirelessly to a computer for record keeping on the fly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and a great tool I purchased my first imager about 2 years ago also a fluke. This year we purchased another one. I was very impressed with how easy it is to learn how to use. I was new to infrared imaging and it was so easy to use both the software in the camera and the Smartview software is great. I would recommend this product for all industries.
