how do I get the 289 to accept the I400 clamp? I know how to plug it in. The instructions show only the feed current through the meter option, not the clamp. I bought the 289 last year so maybe it does not accept the i400 clamp option?

Asked by: geno
I think I found out the answer. using the 1000mA/A ratio of the clamp on, if the meter reads 1000mA then the actual amp through wire is 1A
