  • 3 forms of AC/DC voltage indication: light, sound, and vibration
  • Backlit LCD display and hold function for easier viewing

Product overview: Fluke T+Pro Electrical Tester

Safer than solenoid testers and fully compliant with NFPA 70E, (when used properly per Article 110.4 Use of Equipment (A) Test Instruments and Equipment), the T+Pro helps electricians and technicians work safer by indicating the presence of voltage, even when the batteries are dead. Additional functionality, such as a GFCI trip, easy to read LCD screen, resistance measurement up to 9.99 kΩ, and a built-in flashlight make the T+Pro the first voltage tester that electricians reach for.

How to use the Fluke T+ Pro Electrical Tester

The Fluke T+Pro Electrical Tester indicated AC/DC voltage in three different ways:

Light

Sound

Vibration

The user will be alerted to the presence of voltage in dark or noisy environments with the light and vibration notifications. And the audible indication can be optionally disabled at the push of a button. Combine those features with the backlit LCD display function and it’s easier for users to see the screen in many hard-to-test areas. The included HOLD function will freeze the display for even easier reading in those areas.

Key safety features

The T+Pro is safety rated to CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V, and is CSA approved. The tester also has a built-in flashlight for highlighting the point of measurement. A GFCI trip is included for testing outlet GFCI circuits. The T+ Pro also includes a rotary field indicator and has convenient probe storage on the back. The product is protected by a two-year warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Trust This Meter Over the course of a year, this meter has given false continuity readings between conductors on many different occasions. I confirmed this each time by checking continuity using three other Fluke meters, all of which showed no continuity on whatever I was testing. I haven't had any issues measuring voltage. Avoid this meter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple meter I recently purchased 30 T-plus meters for the maintenance shop because of the ease of use and the meters were simple to train mechanics that are more mechanics than electricians. The fact that you don’t need to pick ac or dc the meter will auto detect ac or dc voltage is great. I also like that the meter is rated cat IV at 600 volts because that is what my electrical program requires. One thing that isn’t so great is the meter will not read below 24-volt dc and that would be a useful feature in an industrial setting. Thanks Electrical Safety Manager.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tester I ever bought Love this unit. I use it on my yacht to track down problems. It’s especially nice since it allows me to keep on hand free to work. Would definitely recommend this unit highly. Roughed to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tester This review is for the T+Pro version. This has come in handy when installing 3-phase receptacles on a 208/120 service. I was able to use the T+Pro to verify the phase rotation after the receptacle and corresponding cable was connected. The built in probe holders are great too. The one thing I wish I could do with this unit is turn off the vibrate. This warning increases my pulse about half the time I’m measuring voltage. All in all this is a great tester to have in the tool bag because it is so versatile.
