Cost-Effective, Precise, and Easy Fixed-Point Realization
Affordable Fixed-Point Calibration—Uncompromised Accuracy
The Fluke 9260 Mini Fixed-Point Cell Furnace delivers high-quality ITS-90 fixed-point calibration at a fraction of the cost of large-scale furnaces. Designed for indium, tin, zinc, and aluminum cells, the 9260 covers all primary fixed points from 156.5985 °C to 660.323 °C, using less than half the space and investment of a traditional system.
Key Benefits and Features
- Lower Total Cost – The 9260 furnace costs less than half of a large furnace, and the smaller-volume, 99.9999% pure metal cells are also much more affordable.
- Complete ITS-90 Coverage – Use with indium, tin, zinc, and aluminum mini cells to realize all major ITS-90 fixed points required for laboratory calibration.
- Simple, Hands-Off Operation – Place the fixed-point cell in the furnace at the end of the day. The next morning, initiate the built-in software routine for your specific cell type. Within an hour, the cell is stable and ready for precise measurements—all day long.
- Flexible Software Control – Built-in software lets you choose between melting-point or freezing-point curves for each metal. While ITS-90 recommends freezing points, melting points are easier to realize, and the difference in uncertainty (less than 2 mK) is negligible for most labs.
- Proven Performance – For most applications, Fluke Calibration’s mini cells at their melting points provide results indistinguishable from traditional cells at their freezing points.
- High-Precision Comparison Calibrations – Optional comparison blocks are available for the 9260, offering a variety of pre-drilled or custom wells for high-precision calibrations at high temperatures. Each block provides a well depth of 229 mm (9 in).
