In a large biochemical plant, precision shaft alignment improved pump maintenance and reliability practices
The Corbion maintenance team in Montmeló, Barcelona, introduced a laser shaft alignment initiative for critical assets to improve the quality of the maintenance operations, decrease energy consumption and increase the asset lifecycle.
Maintenance Manager Marçal Gotanegra admits that precision alignment has brought immediate benefits to maintenance reliability:
“We have reduced the maintenance spend by 40% due to our maintenance initiative and we are especially proud of our alignment program with a best-practice recognition from the Global Maintenance Platform.”
