The 2021 theme for World Metrology Day is Measurement for Health. This theme was chosen to create awareness around how large and important a role measurement and accuracy play in the health and wellbeing of each and every one of us. Metrology is a part of everything from medical device manufacturing process to vaccine viability to quality measurements in healthcare.
As we continue to fight this global COVID-19 pandemic, metrology has played an even more important role than many knew.

World Metrology Day
World Metrology Day is held on May 20th each year, celebrating the day representatives the agreement at the Metre Convention. In 1875, seventeen nations agreed to begin work toward creating a measurement system that is uniform throughout.
