Reviews: Fluke 324 Plus True RMS Clamp Meter
Rated 4 out of 5 by Panotaker from Great Meter, but... Just bought this meter, but there a few things I don't like about it. First, the case it comes with is worthless. If you put the test leads on the bottom of the meter like most people do, the meter no longer fits in the case. The only way it fits in the case, is if you take the test leads off the bottom of the meter. The case needs to be about an inch longer. Second thing I don't like, is that when you put the meter to read temperature, it defaults to celsius. It should default to Fahrenheit. Or at least it should give you the option to change it at start up by pressing a key combination when you turn it on, so that next time you turn it on, it would default to Fahrenheit, but no, when you turn it on, it reads celsius, and then you have the press a button to change it. I have owned a lot of Fluke meters in the past, and this is the first one that starts off in celsius, very annoying. Maybe I bought the European version or something. Besides those two things, the meter is perfect, and works just as good as all the other Fluke meters I have owned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Teampoteete from Case needs redesign We have purchased 324 clamp meters for all our techs and they work very well for us. Unfortunately, the two items we have to replace the most are the case due to busted zippers and lost temperature probes due to loose interior case pockets. Since it appears all techs keep their meter probes plugged into the bottom of the meter full time and just twist their wires around the meter before shoving the whole thing into the case, the case would work better if it was longer to accept the additional length of the probe ends. Also, since the temperature probes get caught with the meter when removing the meter from the case and then the temp probes fall to the ground without their knowledge, it would be better if the case’s very loose interior pocket had a zipper for accessory items’ safety.
