Product overview: 62 MAX Mini Infrared Thermometer

Fluke 62 Max Infrared Thermometer delivers single-laser targeting accuracy

The Fluke 62 MAX Infrared thermometer delivers many of the features of the Fluke 62 MAX+, but features a single laser and 10:1 distance to spot ratio. You can use the Fluke 62 MAX to perform non-contact temperature measurements on transformers, motors, pumps, panels, breakers, compressors, duct, steam lines, valves, and vents. It is small in size and extremely easy to use. The single laser helps you pinpoint the target for more accurate readings and makes it easier to measure temperatures in hard to reach areas. With its IP54 rating for dust and water resistance you can rely the Fluke 62 MAX to deliver accurate, repeatable temperature measurements, rain or shine, in even the dirtiest and dustiest industrial sites. And it’s rugged enough to take a 3-meter drop so no worries even if you work from a ladder.

Other useful features:

  • High and low alarms for rapid detection of temperatures outside the limits
  • Powered by a single, standard AA battery.
  • Comes with a three-year warranty -30-
  • Withstands a 3 m (9.8 ft.) drop
  • Offers small, lightweight form factor to clip comfortably to your tool belt or belt loop, or easily fit in your tool box
  • Features a large, backlit display to make data easier to read, even in dark areas.
  • Displays Min/Max/Avg/Dif: the minimum, maximum or average temperature, or the difference between two measurements

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worst Manual ever Manual non existent. The worst manual ever and the lower model even had the table for materials to set. Also confusion on the websites as far as difference between the 62 MAX and the 62 MAX+ which has the dual lasers

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Manual Terrible - Out of Calibration It has an IKEA type international manual with symbols and no written text. In about 10 languages which is not useful. Literally no instruction on how to use the unit. The face has symbols, settings, the manual literally does not even explain the symbols. And it's off by about 4% or 5% not 1.5%. Not impressed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not last For the price and being FLUKE I expected it to work for more than 3 years. Only ever used it lightly around home, didn't even take it to the shop. Just stopped working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LED display became too dim to read I had this for a couple years with light use and the LED display became so faint it is only readable in perfect lighting

Rated 2 out of 5 by from How Does This Work? The manual is one of the worst I have ever seen. Come on guys, put something out there that explains how to use it. It can't cost you that much. Even if you don't want to print it with the product, put something on line!! GEEZ! Rating would be higher but this has a lot of features that I don't know how to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cost Efficient My wireless floating pool thermometer stopped working and I could not find a compatible substitute for my weather monitoring system. I purchased the Fluke 62 Max, which was near the price of wireless pool thermometers, but with greater flexibility. With this device, I can measure temperatures within a number of environments other than the surface of the water in the pool and in the spa. The Fluke thermometer is accurate as it was tested against the spa thermometer when the spa was heated to a useful temperature. A great substitute for temperature readings in a variety of settings when contact thermometers just aren't available.
