Power quality logging, electrical load studies and energy consumption testing.
The Fluke 1735 Power Logger is the ideal electrician or technician’s power meter for conducting energy studies and basic power quality logging. Set the Power Logger up in seconds with the included flexible current probes and color display. The power quality meter measures most electrical power parameters, harmonics, and captures voltage events.
Applications
- Load studies - verify electrical system capacity before adding loads
- Energy assessments - quantify energy consumption before and after improvements to justify energy saving devices
- Harmonics measurements - uncover harmonic issues that can damage or disrupt critical equipment
- Voltage event capture - monitor for dips and swells that cause spurious resets or nuisance circuit breaker tripping

The features and ease of using the Pwoer Logger
I am on assignment in the Republic of Georgia and ordered the Fluke 1735 power logger, when it arrived on site it was a happy day for me.
So far it has been a good learning experience for me, since I was not exposed to the testing of power circuits with a power meter.
Right away we begain using it to anylize a power problem with VFD`s tripping out on suspected dirty power. First testing the load side feeding the motor we had 92 events (dips) which led to the VFD tripping out. Then we attached to the supply side and the events went away except for start up and tripping off.
Solution was to add capacitors on the load, coming from the VFD. This will not be the last time we use are power logger in fact I will now give a power point training on the power logger 1735 to our Georgian Staff Members.
Over the years I have always relied on my Fluke meter, now power logger and hopefully the Thermal Imaging Ti125 that I will order for the site here in Georgia.

Awesome full-featured logger!
Using the Fluke 1735 logger is a real pleasure! The flexible current probes are a technological marvel! I've been able to loop multiple heavy-gauge panel feeders simultaneously even in the most crowded distribution and control panels!
Another nice feature of the flexible probes is the ability to multi-loop for accuracy on small power feeds (divide results by number of turns of course)!
The single point, quick disconnect multi-conductor plugs for current or for voltage are a snap to connect and cannot be crossed up. They make an end of numerous jacks and plugs getting mixed up.
The Power Logger software is very user-friendly, making reports on data easy to extract and document. There are numerous reports available! See specifications!
Very happy with the entire package!!
