Want to determine the distance between two objects? Need to calculate area or volume? No need to learn how to read a tape measure or ruler, the Fluke 411D Laser Distance Meter does the work for you.
The Fluke 411D is a professional-grade laser distance meter — it’s fast, easy to use, and fits on your tool belt. This meter will save you effort and money by reducing measurement time and errors!
Use Fluke laser distance meters to quickly and accurately determine the distance to your target, the area bounded by two distances, or the volume within three measurements:
- Reduce estimation errors, saving time and money
- Instant measurements of the distance between two objects with one-button operation
- Quick calculations of distance formulas such as area (square feet/meters) and volume
- Easy performance of distance addition and subtraction calculations
The Fluke 411D Laser Distance Meter is better than an ultrasonic device because it uses laser light waves and measures their reflection to accurately determine distances:
- Most advanced technology for measuring distances
- More accurate and measure longer distances
- Confidently measure up to 30 m (100 ft) with an accuracy of 3.0 mm (1/8 in)
- Rugged and reliable as customers expect from Fluke products

Accurate, time saver, sometimes a bit awkward
Great tool especially over distances that would require two measurements then addition. Eliminates the need for a helper for that 45 foot measurement. Accurate within .125 inches, it is at least as good and probably better than a tape. The only drawback is the key that is pushed to take a measurement is in an awkward place often requiring two hands on the instrument to hold the laser steady and push the button. Typical of all other Fluke products that I have used, it is intuitive to use and it was ready out of the box. The case is robust enough to prevent damage on a 6 foot drop. I have conducted that test.

Forget work I need this at home.
There is not anyplace that the Fluke 411D Laser Distance Meter does not come in handy. Originally purchased for use at work for measuring cable runs and such.
The Fluke 411D can measure almost anything large or small. Inside dimensions, hard to reach spots are a specialty.
After using it for only one week I ran out to my local Fluke distributor and purchased one for myself, and one as a present for a friend.

Greater accuracy. A little awkward to use.
I found that the 411 is extremely accurate. The functions like area, etc. are simple to use and also very accurate. The only fault that I could find was if you were placing the meter's bottom on a surface to take a measurement, the meter can easily rock a little. The bottom, and actually all the sides should have flat areas to prevent this problem. Otherwise, this is an excellent meter.
