First-level troubleshooters
The 2 different models in the Fluke 10 Series are ideal for first-level troubleshooting. The VChek™ function provides the user with ultimate ease of use by automatic switching to AC voltage, DC voltage or resistance measurements depending on the input. The range extends from the basic Fluke 10 to the high-end Fluke 12, with its extra capabilities for measuring, capacitance, plus recording of minimum and maximum values over time with a relative time stamp.

All an electrician needs
This meter served me well for a very long time, then I thought I would upgrade to a 114. When I looked at the specs there was a bit of confusion - some sources said the 114 had a diode check range, some did not. I emailed the factory and they assured me the 114 does have the diode test facility. I bought a 114 only to find that they lied! No diode test! I am using the good old 12 again. Anybody want to buy a 114? The 12 is still the best - simple, LoZ when you need it and HiZ when you don't. I love it even more now!

Great Starter Unit
I got my Fluke 12 when I started working in Dairy Equipment Service and Installation. The meter provided almost every test function needed from checking ac current in a electrical box to dc voltage in a milk flow meter. I used the unit every time I went out on a service call, if for nothing more than to confirm the voltage was turned off at a device before I serviced it. Excellent quality and very easy to use.
