| | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | | 7/1/2004 | | | Fluke Corporation Service Center achieves international standards accreditation | | | A2LA bestows accreditation to Everett, Washington, service center | | Everett, WA - Fluke Corporation, a world leader in precision measurement hardware, software, and calibration services, recently announced accreditation of the service center at its Everett headquarters. The center was accredited to the stringent ISO/IEC 17025-1999 standard set by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
"This achievement assures our customers that the Everett service center can provide them with a full range of calibration services that have passed the scrutiny of A2LA certification," commented Jorge Martins, recently appointed technical manager of the service center's laboratory. Martins relocated to Everett from Portugal, where he served as a 17025 assessor and head of another accredited laboratory.
Martins added, "Accreditation means that we can document that high quality standards are being met, providing the confidence our customers demand when they send their equipment in for service or calibration."
ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for laboratory accreditation. First released in December 1999, the standard replaced the previous ISO Guide 25 and its various local interpretations such as the UKAS M10 standard used in the United Kingdom.
