Fluke introduces new capability to its 910/910R GPS
GPS technology & connectivity offer primary standard traceability from any location

NORWICH, UK -- Fluke Corporation today announced the introduction of five new options to its 910/910R range of GPS controlled frequency standards, designed to provide users with a multitude of connectivity options that offer unique flexibility with instrument/data management, as well as other electrical immunity and isolation benefits.

The Fluke 910 and 910R provide timing reference signals with exceptional stability over the long, medium and short terms. The new options now available include:

  • 910X-FL-15 (GPS Antenna Fiber Link)
  • 910X-76 (Ethernet-port)
  • 910X-71 (Multiple Reference Outputs)
  • 910X-72 (5 Additional 2.048 MHz Outputs)
  • 910X-73 (5 Additional 13 MHz Outputs)
The new Ethernet interface option (option 76) offers central, remote and even simultaneous data management capability, while the new GPS antenna fiber optic link (FL-15) allows greater flexibility with positioning of both antenna and instrument as well as providing EMP immunity and electrical isolation for the 910/910R. Option 71, 72 and 73 provide the user more outputs at seven industry standard frequencies, which means greater flexibility and the elimination of distribution amplifiers. These new reference frequencies are valuable to operators who work with Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) or who typically use GSM technologies and who need to maintain exceptionally high frequency accuracy.

High-level frequency standards are typically used in primary and secondary calibration laboratories, as well as third party electrical calibration labs. These instruments are also used in the metrology labs of many 'blue chip' companies within the telecommunications, military and aerospace industries. The unique architecture of the 910 Series, with built-in measurement kernel, means that it provides a frequency reference which is continuously traceable to national standards. Unlike all other frequency standards, this means that it does not need to be removed from service for annual calibrations.
