| | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | | 5/27/2003 | | | Fluke Biomedical releases new multiparameter patient simulator | | The new Fluke Biomedical multiparameter patient simulator, MPS450, is a complete redesign of the popular Bio-Tek Lionheart 3 product. According to Marc Fresia, product manager, "The Lionheart 3 is one of our most effective and widely accepted products. It's time for a redesign, however, to bring the platform up to the latest technology and allow us to expand it for better customer functionality."
The MPS450 has many new features/functions, including the following:
- Menu-driven interface that provides an intuitive method of navigating through the multitude of tests and functions
- Extra port for future expansion into the next logical test parameter
- 43 arrhythmias for improved testing of today's advanced arrhythmia detection systems
- Greater ranges of amplitudes and rates
- Fetal simulations
- New, larger display
The MPS450 retains the best features of the Lionheart 3, including full parameter simulations (ECG, arrhythmia, respiration, invasive blood pressure, temperature, and cardiac output), and adds fetal simulations and a platform for future simulation enhancements.
The MPS450 is the first true Fluke Biomedical product, combining the best technologies from its former brands Bio-Tek Instruments and DNI Nevada. The new product prominently displays the new colors of Fluke Biomedical and is featured on the cover of the new premiere product catalog.
