Power Quality Hands-on Training
Fluke Power Quality Training is designed for Electricians and Electrical Engineers involved in troubleshooting the causes of poor power quality, often the root cause of potentially costly problems in industrial electrical installations and equipment. This workshop will include hands-on training on how to conduct inspections using a variety of power quality tools, as well as offering Case Studies and Application Notes giving advice on troubleshooting techniques and checking compliance against National and International Power Quality Standards.
Seven modules will be run throughout the day:
- Module 1 - Introduction to Power Quality
- Module 2 - Voltage Dips (what are the impacts, how to characterize them and trace the source of origin)
- Module 3 – Power consumption and penalties (how to avoid paying these penalties and quantify energy savings)
- Module 4 - Unbalance (why is it important and what are the acceptable limits)
- Module 5 - Harmonics (what are the originating sources and their impacts)
- Module 6 - Transients (what are the originating sources and their impacts)
- Module 7 - Introduction to the National and International Power Quality Standards
Modules 2 to 7 are practical training modules based on the power quality examples shown in the Fluke DVD "Power Quality in Industrial Applications".
