Predictive/Preventive Maintenance Applications

Thermal imaging plays a very crucial and effective role in finding possible failure points in vessels and containers, often preventing serious accidents from occurring. Equipment defects or load shifting can quickly and easily be detected with the Ti30.

Steel mill torpedo ladles. These modified railroad cars transport liquid metal at approximately 1600ºC. The first image is of a railroad car full of the liquid metal, while the last image is of an empty one. The middle image shows how the railroad car appears to the naked eye. Both infrared images illustrate how well the heat is contained within the "belly" of the railcar.
