    To upgrade the Meter:

    1. Download the upgrade file for the Meter by clicking the above link.
    2. Connect the USB cable to the PC or laptop.
    3. Make sure the Meter is off.
    4. Simultaneously push and hold Setup button and > button as you connect the other end of the USB cable to the Meter.
    5. The Meter boots up in the firmware upgrade mode and stays on while it is connected to the PC.
    6. Identify the external disk that is the Meter in an Explorer window on the computer.
    7. Make a copy of the upgrade file to the external disk that is the Meter.
    8. Right-click on the external disk and select eject.
    9. Disconnect the Meter from the host PC.
    10. Restart the Meter.

    The Meter operates with the new firmware after the restart.

    • Export your results to Microsoft® Excel through a USB connection
    • Trend the readings with the built-in templates and plot graphs
    • Compare the overall vibration readings to ISO Standards (10816-1, 10816-3, 10816-7)

    Import measurements from the Fluke 805 Vibration Meter to an Excel template on your PC in order to trend the bearing parameters: overall vibration, CF+ and temperature. The user can now see a clear picture of the changing bearing condition and deteriorating health of the machine.

    What is new?

    • Ability for uploading multiple thermal images to a single drive train
    • Addition of Nordic Languages (Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish)

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure that you back up your data prior to the installation. Read the following instructions prior to installation if you have a previous version of Viewer Software installed.

    A. Upgrading to Viewer version 1.5.19 from Viewer version 1.0.8 or higher

    1. Open Viewer Software.
    2. Click on the "Preferences" menu at the top.
    3. Select "Take Backup" from the menu at the left.
    4. Click the "Browse" button to select the location for the backup file and then click "Create Backup" button.
    5. Once backup is created, uninstall the current version of the Viewer Software by clicking "Uninstall Viewer Software" from Start » Programs » Fluke.

    Install version 1.5 by clicking on the .exe file, you previously downloaded from the link above.

    Once the installation is complete, please restore your backup data by following the steps below:

    1. Open Viewer Software.
    2. Click on "Preferences" menu at the top.
    3. Select "Restore Backup" from the menu at the left.
    4. Click the "Browse" button to select the location of the backup file you created prior to installation and then click the "Restore Backup" button.

    B. Upgrading to Viewer version 1.5.19 from Viewer versions prior to 1.0.8

    If you are upgrading to Viewer 1.5.19 from Viewer versions prior to 1.0.8, the upgrade will erase all machine setup and diagnostic history from your PC.

    Restoring erased data to the Viewer software application:

    1. To recover data transferred from the Tester into Viewer software but NOT deleted from the Tester, upload data back into the updated v.1.5 Viewer software using the normal Transfer function within the software.
    2. To archive data previously transferred to Viewer then subsequently deleted from the Tester, we recommend generating a .pdf report for each machine setup using the Report function within the Viewer software PRIOR TO UPGRADING TO V.1.5 Data gathered prior to the upgrade cannot be restored to the Tester.

    Viewer 1.5 is compatible with 32 bit and 64 bit Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
