Notes from Norwich
Eight months on, having blended Wavetek-Datron and Fluke calibration businesses into the new Fluke Precision Measurement business, we continue to move forward with innovative solutions for you, our customers. From the Wavetek-Datron perspective, we are excited about and very pleased with progress this year and our ongoing plans.

So what have we been able to achieve? Well, our engineering teams are closely linked to those in the rest of Fluke, developing an exciting range of new products. Our marketing and sales organizations are now in place, offering a bigger worldwide presence. We are delighted to announce the publication of the new "Full Line" Fluke Precision Measurement catalogue to help you define the best solution from the combined range of existing products for your specific application. You will find more information about the catalogue in this newsletter. Our service and support organizations have been integrated into Fluke to better ensure those new and existing products keep meeting your ongoing needs. Ultimately, we will ensure the protection of your investment made with us.

I was able to talk with many of you at the National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) in July. Our theme for the conference was "The Future of Precision Measurement Starts Here" and that's just it because it really has! Many of you will have seen our work alongside the UK's National Physical Laboratory in the development of calibration via the Internet, a new and quite revolutionary project.

We are excited about the future and we want to share that with you. As a result, we are running some special promotions through to the end of this year; they are included in this newsletter so read on and make sure you take advantage of them. I send you all my best wishes for the year 2000.

Kind regards,

Colin Ross
