Infrared thermography provides the capability to help detect subtle problems before they result in failures. In industrial settings some equipment problems can be spotted through unusual vibration or sounds, but many other problems do not present such obvious symptoms. Many electrical problems can be detected by their thermal patterns, which, if not identified, could either lead to equipment failure or a more serious electrical hazard. Moisture problems in ceilings and walls can be very difficult...

The most popular reason for paralleling conductors is to provide higher ampacity than a single conductor can provide. "In a typical building design, the largest conductors are usually 500 kcmil or 600 kcmil". "And many electrical contractors will actually object to 600 kcmil. If ampacity above 400 A is necessary, using parallel conductors is the only reasonable solution.
Sometimes the infrared images you need to capture are the ones that are almost impossible to take. With a full 180-degree articulating lens and 5.7 inch touchscreen, the new Fluke® TiX560 and TiX520 Infrared Cameras allow thermographers to easily navigate over, under, and around objects to preview and capture images with ease. The cameras are ideal for predictive maintenance, R&D, oil and gas, and utility applications where flexibility and higher resolution are essential.
The four-day live event showcases the best of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem beginning on Sunday August 5th EVERETT, Wash., Aug. 3, 2018 – This summer’s biggest live event, YELLOWSTONE LIVE, shows the iconic park’s ecosystem in real-time over a four night period. With more geysers in the park than any other place on earth, the production team from Plimsoll Productions wanted to tell the story with as much detail as possible. They turned to Fluke infrared cameras to provide the temperature...
Infrared inspections often involve analyzing temperature variations on something extremely small or too far away to see the needed detail with standard lenses. Two new lenses for Fluke infrared cameras bring those worlds into sharper focus. The 25 micron macro lens can identify defects that might otherwise be too small to see on targets like PCB boards. The new 4x telephoto lens gets users a four times magnified view of a target at a distance, so targets like a high electrical line or a tall flare stack can be easily inspected.
Infrared measurement adds important and often revealing data to certain types of R&D analysis, but it hasn't always been easy to incorporate these measurements into experiments and reports. To close that gap, Fluke Corp. has introduced a new software feature that integrates high-resolution thermal data from the company's TiX580, TiX560, TiX1000, TiX660, TiX640 and TiX620, infrared cameras with National Instruments' LabVIEW and MathWorks' MATLAB software, leveraging the strength of those powerful platforms and making it easy to add high-resolution infrared data, video and images to R&D analysis and reporting.
