Fluke Adds a New Twist to Test Leads
Fluke TL175 TwistGuard™ Test Leads

The new Fluke TL175 TwistGuard™ Test Leads are the only test leads in the world with adjustable length test tips for use in different measurement environments.

The new Fluke TL175 TwistGuard Test Leads are part contortionist, part chameleon, and full of safety, durability, and performance features. You can twist them and bend them this way and that. You can put them to work in places where the temperature falls below freezing or rises to 131 ° F (55 ° C).

Oh, and by the way, they’re the only test leads in the world with a manually adjustable test tip guard that lets you extend or retract the probe tip at will. You can use the lead with the probe tip fully extended to 19 millimeters (0.75 inches) for CAT II 1000V applications such as probing power outlets.

TwistGuard™ adjustable tips enhance safety and versatility.

Or twist the probe sheath to cover all but 4 millimeters (0.16 inches) to probe CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V applications such as circuit breakers. A quick glance at the window on the side of the lead shows you the correct category rating for the tip exposure.

Tough Inside and Out

You don’t need to handle TL175 test leads with kid gloves; these test leads are tough. Both the probe-ends and plug-ends were tested beyond 30,000 bends without a failure. Each test lead is armed with WearGuard™ insulation—two layers of silicone insulation that withstands high temperatures and resists melting if it comes in contact with hot surfaces. Yet it stays flexible in frigid temperatures.

If a TL175 Test Lead does get nicked or scuffed, it’ll tell you where it hurts. The under layer of insulation is white, so if there a break in the outer layer, you can see it right away.

Heavy-duty strain relief withstands over 30,000 bends.

Burns the Candle at Both Ends

Universal input plugs on the TL175 test leads are compatible with any digital multimeter that accepts standard 4 millimeter (0.16 inch) shrouded banana plugs. The screw threads at the base of the probe let you add whatever screw-on clips, probes, and specialty tips you need to do your job. And chances are you’ll be getting that job done a lot faster with the new TL175 test leads.
