It Pays to Calibrate Regularly
Measuring instruments are the 'heartbeat' of your company as they check and measure your production processes. They control the quality of your products and in the end are responsible for the success and the profitability of your business.
A regular check of your 'heartbeat' with traceable calibration equipment is essential. First, it ensures your quality always matches the customer's expectations which is vital where ISO 9000 certification is involved. Second, regular calibration pays dividends.
- Consistent quality of your production output.
- Lower operating cost due to enhanced reliability.
- Optimal access to international markets.
- Establishing a quality system.
- Address quality audit and reviews.
- Maintain quality of specifications.
- Meet production control criteria.
- Measure inspection and testing results.
- Establish calibration traceability.
ISO 9000: Traceable Calibration
'Calibration' means that the test results from a measuring device (or source) of unknown accuracy, are compared with a device whose accuracy is known. This device is universally accepted as a 'reference' and traceable to international standards. Calibration records any deviation from this standard and corrects it when necessary. Each instrument has a specific calibration procedure which indicates exactly how and what must be checked.
Regular and traceable calibration combines the forces of accuracy and certainty and provides you with the key aspect of ISO 9000 registration. Contact your nearest Fluke Service Center for more information on these services.
Flat Rate CalibrationCalibration price is at a Flat Rate cost and covers all labor and equipment to perform one calibration required to meet the published factory specifications. The calibration is provided by Fluke, an ISO-9001 registered company, using standards and instruments traceable to national standards. This includes at a minimum, a Certificate of Calibration, a calibration label with the date of calibration and next calibration date. A tamper-proof calibration seal is also affixed to the instrument.

Flat Rate Repair
Repair price is at a Flat Rate cost and includes calibration at no additional cost. It covers parts, labor, and calibration or performance tests necessary to repair the instrument and have it operate within published specifications. It also includes any factory-authorized modifications to bring it up to current standards. Certain expensive, low failure-rate parts and covers are excluded. Some Fluke products are classified as Repair by Replacement and will not be assessed. A replacement unit will be offered at a reduced price. Repairs requiring replacement of cathode ray tubes, rechargeable battery packs, or mechanical and electromechanical parts are also excluded. Prices do not include unrelated multiple assembly failures, workmanship related problems, or evidence of abuse or overload. Any excluded parts required to make the repair will be billed at the current published price. Prices do not include GST or provincial taxes. If your unit is replaced instead of repaired, calibration costs may be additional.
These cost-effective services can be used to repair or calibrate your Fluke equipment on a one-time basis. For customers who routinely service their own instruments, this service offers an easy way to smooth out your peak work loads. For others, it's an easy and economical way to take advantage of Fluke's extensive service capabilities.
The Flat Rate Service Program sets a fixed charge for calibration and/or repair of most instruments. The calibration and/or repair price includes all labor and most materials required. These flat rate prices, which are based on historical time and material averages, help you determine service costs in advance. They also alleviate potentially critical delays caused by quotation and approval procedures. Of course, some instruments may fall outside the scope of the program because of age or abuse. In such cases you will be advised and, only with your approval, charged on the basis of the actual labor and parts required.
Take advantage of our On-Line Service Request quotation utility to get a repair and calibration pricing quote or for more information on flat rates, time and material, calibration data, etc.
